OWP-Example Project 1-Engineering - Biow-Moore #3-1

CO State Hwy 7 (160th Ave.) West of Havana, Brighton, Colorado

The Biow-Moore #3-1 well was an Orphaned Well in an area being developed for residential housing.

The work involved plugging the well and removing process equipment and flowlines for off site disposal and salvage.

COGCC claimed the former operator's plugging bond for a variety of violations at a Commission Hearing on April 18, 2016.

OWP-Example Project 1-Engineering - Oil Pump

The well last produced from the Sussex Formation at a depth of about 5,000 feet below ground level.

COGCC removed the pump jack, flowlines, tanks, and process equipment for off site disposal and salvage. The equipment was old and in poor condition, and as a result, used equipment dealers were not interested in purchasing the equipment. The midstream gas company also removed their gas gathering lines and equipment.
