Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission Hosts Public Meeting in Glenwood Springs

COGCC Commissioners visit to engage and listen to local communities

Denver, CO (Apr. 04, 2023) - The Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC) will host a public meeting in Glenwood Springs, on Thursday, April 13. The Commission will give a presentation updating on the implementation of SB 19-181 and take public comment.

“We are looking forward to sharing the COGCC’s updates on implementing SB 19-181, which changed the mission of the COGCC from “fostering” oil and gas development to regulating in a manner protective of public health, safety, welfare, wildlife and the environment,” said COGCC Commissioner John Messner. “Also, these opportunities allow the Commission to hear the community’s unique issues and concerns about oil and gas.”
