COGCC Commissioners visit to engage and listen to local communities
Denver, CO (Feb. 28, 2023) - The Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC) will host a public meeting in Trinidad on Monday, March 6. The Commission will give a presentation updating on the implementation of SB 19-181 and take public comment.
“The Commission is committed to visiting communities statewide and learning about their unique issues and concerns on oil and gas development and production,” said COGCC Director Jeff Robbins. “This is a great opportunity for the Commission to share COGCC’s updates on implementing SB 19-181, which changed the mission of the COGCC from “fostering” oil and gas development to regulating in a manner protective of public health, safety, welfare, wildlife and the environment, and to hear the community’s voice on oil and gas.”

The Commission is planning statewide trips to engage with and learn from communities where there is oil and gas development.
