Rules

Rulemaking is the process by which government agencies create, amend, or repeal rules. Rules are the resulting regulations or guidelines that have the force of law.

ECMC affirms its operational practices by rulemakings. Rulemakings are grounded in the ECMC mission and are focused on specific subject areas. Rules are developed with stakeholder input and reviewed by the Commission prior to adoption. The Commission votes to adopt rules at public hearings. Generally, policies provide further guidance on how ECMC rules should be implemented.
