Additional Director Review Criteria

COGCC Acting Director Robbins has provided this MEMO as guidance to staff for flagging Form 2 and Form 2A applications for additional review by the Director as part of the technical review. The process is described in this PRESENTATION given to the Commission on March 11, 2019.

SRC Energy, Inc. Application to submit a Comprehensive Drilling Plan under Rule 216

SRC Energy, Inc. recently filed an application with the COGCC to submit a Comprehensive Drilling Plan (CDP) under Rule 216. The CDP will encompass approximately 23,677 acres south of Greeley. The proposed CDP area is in portions of unincorporated Weld County, and portions of the cities of Evans, La Salle, Miliken and Gilcrest. SRC Energy intends to submit the draft CDP package to the COGCC in March 2019.  Click HERE to view the site.

School Setback Rules in Effect

The Rules adopted by the COGCC in December 2018 amending setbacks related to schools became effective 20 days after their publishing in the Secretary of State's register. As of February 14, 2019 all Form 2 and Form 2A applications submitted to the COGCC must be in compliance with the amended Rules.

COGCC Methane and Volatile Organic Compound Driving Survey of Weld County Report

COGCC in cooperation with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment - Air Pollution Control Division performed a driving survey focused on the detection of methane and volatile organic compounds in residential areas in close proximity to oil & gas facilities.
