Effective May 19th, 2022, two status codes have been added for Wells:
ACTIVE PERMIT (AP)
EXPIRED PERMIT (EP)
These are intended to replace Approved Permit to Drill (XX).
The COGCC has released an electronic version of the Form 8, Oil and Gas Conservation Levy, with associated electronic payment system (EPS). All Form 8s and associated levy payments for 1st Quarter 2022, due June 1, 2022, SHOULD be filed and paid using the electronic Form 8 and electronic payment system. COGCC has published a Sampling and Analysis Plan to provide guidance to Operators collecting samples of E&P waste, specifically addressing produced water sampling requirements for compliance with Rule 909.j. The SB 19-181 Financial Assurance Rules adopted on March 1, are effective as of April 30, 2022. The rules are available HERE from the COGCC website Rules page.
On February 25, Staff released revised draft Financial Assurance Rules. The revised draft Rules can be viewed HERE. The Commission will take up consideration of these Rules on Tuesday, March 1 at 9am.
